SUPPORT FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Parents/Guardians are viewed as the most important influence in their children’s lives. We maintain regular communication with parents/guardians and hold parent conferences throughout the year. We also facilitate parent/educator advisory meetings and annual community events.
In addition, the FCC staff provides:

Educator screening; child care consultation; developmental screening; substitute care; parent support and education; in-depth regular progress reports; informational parent newsletter; cultural sensitivity; parent/educator advisory meetings; transportation services for eligible families; annual family picnic and fundraiser; and advocacy support for additional family/child services.
FAMILY ELIGIBILITY & ENROLLMENT:
Children enrolled in the Cole-Harrington Family Child Care System receive subsidizes through our contract with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) to provide child care to children from low-income families and to at-risk children referred by local Department of Child & Family Services (DCF) area offices. Our FCC system also holds contracts with voucher management agencies administered by area based child care resource and referral agencies to provide subsidized child care to families receiving transitional assistance. A sliding scale fee is used to determine the weekly parent fee for EEC contracted slots for income eligible families and DTA vouchers. There are no fees for families referred by the DCF.
An application for child care enrollment can be obtained by calling Michelle Bradford, Program Coordinator, Canton at (781) 821-4422 x308 or Mary Joyce, Site Coordinator, Plymouth at (508) 830-3900 x321.
Families can choose to meet with FCC staff in their respective homes or at one of the FCC offices as the first step in the enrollment process.
